Some sort of prior comparative knowledge provides legibility of any material. Recognition based on references that new material is paired up in relation to leads to readability. The familiarity /unfamiliarity of the content is what determines one’s distance as a reader.

Looking up closely and looking from afar both extract reduced information. Looking for peculiarity is charged with a foreign mission, just as looking for similarity is.

The work attempts to construct a visual language for un-naming. What if this flimsy archive stands in to strip apart meanings of objects and images that explain place-hood. What if the most accurate reading of a place is in an active attempt to look for a reasonable distance to read from. As soon as it is exacted, it is an inaccurate position to take. The work is constantly shifting the measure of distance to read from.
